the best memory i have of janis joplin was a few years ago when i was in seattle with a woman who did not have the most "wholesome of occupations." i was pretty unfamilar with janiss library so the girl sang 'me and bobby mcgee' at the top of her lungs, drunk, under the space needle for me and the friday nite crowd, which was damn near two hundred people.
i have loved that song ever since
